NASCAR Rumble
ModSDK
The open journey to rediscover NASCAR Rumble from the inside โ and reach, step by step, something fans can explore, edit and one day play without an emulator.
The game
NASCAR Rumble, EAโs arcade classic
Released by EA in 2000 for PlayStation and Nintendo 64, NASCAR Rumble took stock-car racing and threw realism out the window: power-ups, wild shortcuts, storms and a garage of absurd unlockable cars. A kart racer dressed as NASCAR โ pure weekend chaos.
๐ Fun fact: digging through the game code we already found hidden car names like Golf Cart, Jet Car and EA Sports Car.

Latest progress
See all progress โThe game became native code: 188k lines of C#
We connected our reverse engineering to the RecompOne recompiler and turned NASCAR Rumble into a native executable that compiles cleanly.
Emulador + CarrosFull game control and the 168-car catalog
We now control the game ourselves (screen, input and memory) and mapped the first live data + the complete car catalog.
CarrosCar catalog and the 171 NASCAR liveries
We published the 32-car grid page and found the disc holds every real NASCAR paint of the era.
What is this project
Work fronts
A long-term effort to fully understand NASCAR Rumble (PS1, EA, 2000): analyze the executable, document every file format, and build an open-source extraction and editing SDK โ in the spirit of CTR-ModSDK.
Reverse engineering
Executable analysis in Ghidra: physics, AI, rendering, formats.
Modding SDK
Tools to extract and edit textures, tracks, cars and saves.
Knowledge base
Every discovery documented, reproducible and open to the community.
